YELLOW PINE
HARMONICA-FEST BENEFIT
UPDATE: The Benefit was a huge success and benefited both the businesses and the town of Yellow Pine. I personally donated 30% of all album and book sales to a fund to help improved the community center. The venue was just under 11,000 square feet and each of my shows (two on Friday and three on Saturday) were presented to very enthusiastic standing-room-only crowds.
Plan to attend the 2008 Harmonica Festival in August. Exciting new changes will be announced on their website at http://www.harmonicacontest.com.
Thanks to all of the musicians and harmonica players that showed up to help, especially Mr. Logan Kerr, Age 90 who did three shows during the event!
Last summer the Yellow Pine Harmonica Contest and Festival was cancelled by road closures caused by forest fires surrounding the community. The town of Yellow Pine and its merchants were financially devastated by the cancellation of the event.
On February 1st and 2nd there will be a fundraising celebration held in conjunction with the McCall, Idaho Winter Carnival.
I'll be performing several shows during the two day event and I want to personally invite musicians who play all instruments and genres to contact me and volunteer to perform at the Harmonica Fest fundraiser.
I am donating my time and 30% of all my album and book sales to the Yellow Pine Enhancement Society (Y.E.S.) on those two days.
Come join the fun!
